Ok Here's a re-cap since this thread is almost 4 pages long...

Sebewaing Area Walleye Outing!

Febuary 2nd, 2008

-Meet at Mc Donalds in sebewaing .........its on the corner of m25 and sebewaing owendale rd..............

- fish fry after fishing will be about 4 miles east of sebewaing...... at 10074 sebewaing owendale rd sebewaing Mi 48759......big brick house ....barn falling down in back two steel pole barns two smaller sheds......

Its (byob) its allso if you get drunk stay put.....or we will get you to the motel here in town(air port motel)989-883-3320 next to the marina and airport ......we have a heated shed for the night.....the guy doing that for us isnt even a member here yet lol ....

........i have a few packages of fish i can donate but we need more fish and if some one can bring a bag of spuds for frys if would be appreciated.....

(i will not be held responsable for any one who gets in to my brandy)

What kind of equipment?

i like a 30 inch rod medium action ...all the way up to a 5ft medium light if im sitting outside............6 to 10 lb mono......14lb in 5 ft of water or less normally(i use short stiff pike style rods in shallow and dont allow the fish to fight).....longer limber rods load more and make icing fish easier in deep water

castmaster style spoons from 1/12 to 3/4 oz........gold and silver
lead head jigs 1/8 to 1/2 oz...fire balls, airplane, regular
jigging raps and jigging shad raps in small sizes
for tip ups i like a size 14 treb or a 6 single hook

if every one shows up .....its around 100 people now......

looks like it should be decent weather....cold at night and 35 ish during the day time......make sure to bring a chair and or table for the fry.....the ice is forming and should be plenty good by then.,

I'm worried about the STRONG SW winds tuesday. WInds 20-30mph. Hopefully we don't lose any ice off the bay.

As of now, the 2nd looks cool with winds 10mph or so west, but be warned this will change.

well the ice formed in those conditons and being froze all the way acrossed it should be ok......the warm temps should get rid of the snow and the quick freeze after should start maken ice againwe have a good 72 hrs of cold before the outing so ill see ......if its not safe we wont fish plain and simple.......river and marina are allways an option for perch and pike or caseville for lakers and perch.....

fish point tourney is 30 bucks and includes two dinner tickets......witch doesnt do us much good haven a fry going allready,,,,,,

Yeah I never saw an online link for the shiver entry and I don't really care to enter the other tourney so I'll just fish for fun and catch a 20 lb Walleye and then kick myself in the arse for not entering, LOL!

Don if you get 20lber you will make money on it no matter what

im planning on launching off thomas rd parking is unlimited and the ice is a little smoother over here plus the traffic will beat down a path over the next week

ice is about 8 inches its really rough though .....im figuring on the main group for the outing setting up shop on the inside edge of the slot...............too many people need ride to drag every one out 5 miles it just wouldnt be safe........

Ok thanks Jim I just registered. Now tomorrow I need to go buy oil and an oil filter for my Quad and get her ready to go!

I'm so ready! Maybe I'll even take a day off next week and try and get that lunker Walter!

Hey I looked and I only have like 10 Walleye Filets if that to bring. I'll bring them though!
