Who's up for a steelhead outing in Febuary before everyone starts thinking steelhead? Maybe a camping trip in the snow? Who's game?

I am thinking the manistee again? However, we could always try other river.

Actually the whole last 7 days of Feb I believe is what we are doing. So if you guys are planning something then your welcome to hit the PM with us, or if your set on the Big M we could surely hit that to meet you guys one or two days of the trip.

I think we're plannin on stayin at the big room at motel BBT for the week which sleeps like 6-7 guys and is $140 per night but is a huge room with 2 bedrooms, full kitcken, DVD/TV, pull out hide a bed and all the good stuff. If there's only a few of you guys goin then we'd have no prob spliting the room with you guys whatever night you wanted to stay while were there.

I really wanna hit the Big Man...So maybe we can pick a Weekend earlier in the month for the Big Man and anyone wanting to do the PM can do it along with SteelDrifter the last weekend.

Nothing wrong with 2 fishing trips in Feburary!

I need a 3-6HP Outboard motor though! 8)

I'm game if the fish are game

SC, when we have outings your not restricted to one river. You can go anywhere you want. At other outings we've had people drive all over the NW to fish different rivers. Heck, I remember one outing we hit 3 rivers in one day.

I'd love to go, but I don't have any plans on going to the west-side this year at all. The Au Sable was pretty good last February, so I'll be on that river instead. I've always wondered why getting an outing together is such a hard thing. It'd be cool to have a steelhead outing once every month from Dec-March, maybe two on the west-side and two on the east?.

Not really any of the sites I run thats doing it Dan. It's more or less just 2-3 good friends from TFF that I fish with alot that are planning the trip and keeping it kind of "under the radar" on the sites I run, just to keep it more of a friendly well known group know what I mean. But I've known you&Don through these sites for years now so no problem with you guys or anyone from this site joining us.

Backing out shouldnt be a problem because we already plan to get the room for the guys I know thats going, so if someone backs out from here then it wouldnt matter much because we are getting the room anyways. So anyopne from this site is more than welcome to come. And we can do like Dan said, hit the PM, Big M, Bear creek..you name it...its all within 1 hr drive from motel BBT.
