Anyone want to have a fall/winter steelhead outing on the Au Sable? Maybe Nov/Dec. sometime?

The Weekend of December 8th is probally the only one I have open. We were thinking of doing a Steelhead on the Big Man outing in Dec. also.

Will there be enough Steelhead in the Au Sable to make it worth it?

Actually it is closer for me too and I saw your pics from last weekend so that was probally a stupid question.

Is there state land we can camp on for free?

Ok I think we are gonna do an outing on the Big Man the weekend of Oct 8th. I have a week and a few days off between X-mas and New years and would like to have the Au Sable Outing during that week. I have to figure out what half of the x-mas break is mine with my daughters before we can set a date.

Sound ok Jon? Between x-mas and new years? If it doesn't end up being and outing I promise I'll make a day during that time to float the whole day with you.

If we get enough interest I'd love to have an outing during that week though.

Jim, I'll be at the dam tomorrow morning and Sunday. The was a fresh run of kings mid-week, and I know another shot of steelhead. I just tied up a bunch of fresh loose spawn, should be able to get a few fish.

Hey Jon...What do you think about having this outing between x-mas and new years?

I could possibly do it in November but it will be tough...

Hmmm, not sure about that date. I'm moving to Petosky right around the 1st of January, so I don't know what will be going on then. Whats wrong with say late November? What dates are actually available to everyone?
