its getting near the time when the walleye will be staging near the mouth of the sebewaing river...and with the ice being over a foot this year it wont get bad as fast as it did lasat year..i had about 4 days of good fishing should get a week or more this year....last year i had a blast 3-4 fow caught a lot of small fish not many sublegals though....had a few hogs on but didnt get my technique for fishing that shallow down until it was too late

any way when its gets a little closer ill set a date for now im figuring 2nd weekend in march...but with this one the later we can push it back the better...for the big ones any way

going by the long range forcast the first weekend of march might be the best....the nice thing is if the ice is bad its not a bad walk in waders lol....
last year the ice literally rotted out on me while i was out there..on the river that is..but theres to other access points to walk back into if needed

as soon as the current pics up those fish are thick,,,and it looks like a couple 40 degree days around that time so if it goes that way should be great fishen.........perch during the day and walleye ocassionally .....then a good walleye bite at night,,,thats how it went last year any way

Sweet! I'm in! Except for the part about ice eating away around me...I can do without that!
