What Rivers do you fish?: NE/NW Michigan streams
What Bodies of Water do you fish?: Lake Huron-Tawas/Hammond bay(s), Lake Michigan-Little Traverse bay
Well, I'd say we are right in the middle of our spring run up here in northern lake Michigan. I fish 3 different rivers steadily, and they are all at varying degrees of the run. Two have had fish spawning(to some degree) for a month or so, while the one just started. I've been doing well on egg patterns now, with nymphs really slowing. I can say that so far this spring, I have caught way more hens then males. Heres a few fish from the last couple weeks:

I think this fish is a nearly spawned out skamania hen, which is why I took the pic(nice color and markings too):

Why? Is it coming to an end?

If not we'll go job hunting while up there.

No, there was a bunch of fish running the falls yesterday afternoon; lots of fresh hens. I went 4-7 above the dam, and 0-3 below. Seen 3 part-timers whack 3 fresh hens on bags from the GAS STATION ! The one creek by my house I was telling you about had quite a few in it 2 days ago.

Well, if all my buddies decide to be lame and not enjoy the last wkd of being college students, I might fly up there earlier. Got plans off roading with some girls on Wed  and then I am from free there on out.

What Rivers do you fish?: flowing ones
What Bodies of Water do you fish?: ones WITHOUT jetskiers and waterskiers!
Hunting Area: Farwell, Ionia, Carson City, Hubbardston, Lowell, lake Station/ Lake George,
Nice fish.
Looks like that 1 spot treats you well.

I'll be looking for some of those tomorrow and maybe saturday when I'm up around the NW area.
Hopefully I'll be far enough north to find some of them shiny ones! I like those :D .

The spot(1st and 3rd pics?) is IMO, the only classic steelhead hole in that stretch. There's other obvious fishy spots, but that one is a run where you KNOW steelhead will be in there(when they're around). I'm fishing north of TC Smoke, and the 3 streams I'm hitting are kinda all over as far as run status. There's definitely freshies around though, in fact I got a tight hen today(with belly clips).
